Shake a Leg! started in April 2010 and is based on the belief that our clients' pets needs are of the utmost importance. Our team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat clients and referrals.
I'm Suzanne Savage, owner of Shake a Leg! I started this business out of a bittersweet opportunity that was given to me. In 2010 I, along with a lot of other people in the country, lost my job. I was a Human Resource Manager for a Fortune 500 company. I had been in the customer service & big box retail business all my life. Not knowing what to do, I turned to my dad for advice. He asked me the age old question, "Now that you can do whatever you want with your life, what is it you truly want to do?" I took a deep breath and said, I would like to help people in some way, care for animals and run my own business. Wow! My inner self really spoke up :-) My dad simply said to me, "then do it."
With a lot of strong moral and loving support from my husband Chris, I have been successful with this business ever since making that choice. I have a wonderful small team of people that work with me who share the same work ethics, values and mission that I have. We love what we do!
